Our history cannot be complete without discussing the Mughal period. For this, we take you to an incident on the 21st of April, 497 years ago. On that hot April afternoon, a battle was fought a few hundred kilometers away from today’s Delhi. We all know that war as the first war of Panipat. Whichever side wins in this war, it dominates the history of India for the next several hundred years. With this one victory of his, his descendants get a chance to rule this country for more than 300 years. In these 300 years, this dynasty influenced everything from the culture to the social fabric of India. Not only this, the British Empire, which ended the rule of this dynasty, also came to an end, but every little thing of this period has been making a special place in the pages of history. Today even after almost 500 years, we are talking to you on this issue.
In fact, on 21 April 1526, in the first battle of Panipat, Babur defeated Ibrahim Lodi’s army and laid the foundation of the rule of the Mughal dynasty. Babur declares himself the emperor of the Delhi Sultanate. After that the rule of his son Humayun and then Akbar is established. However, for some time between the reign of Babur and Humayun, the Mughal dynasty remains out of power and Sher Shah Suri becomes the ruler. But, then Humayun returns and under the leadership of Akbar mughal rule expands. Then it passes through Jahangir, Shahjahan, Aurangzeb and in 1857 the Mughal dynasty ends during the reign of Bahadurshah II.
But, Akbar is the most famous among all these rulers. He marries a Hindu princess. It is discussed a lot in history. It is even said that Akbar laid a strong foundation of Hindu-Muslim unity during his reign and because of this strength Mughal dynasty been so effective. Be that as it may, we are not turning the pages of history today. Here we are trying to make you aware of a fact.
There is a question here that when Akbar Hindu-Muslim unity set the example of and Hindu princess Jodha Bai Marriage At that time, was the marriage between the people of the Hindu-Muslim community one-sided or did the people of both the religions marry the princesses of the other religion? The question is serious because till now in most of the history, discussion of marriage of Mughal emperors with Rajput princesses has been heard. But, we did a lot of research regarding the marriage of Hindu kings with Mughal princesses. There were no solid answers to these questions on the internet. But, all the experts are answering this on the Quora website.
