Ram Mandir Prana Prathishtha: The consecration of the Ram temple being built in Ayodhya is to take place on 22 January. Invitations have been sent to veterans of the country to participate in this program. Politics is also taking place regarding the matter. In the latest development, Congress party has distanced itself from Sam Pitroda’s statement on Ram Mandir. The party said that his statement is not an official statement of the Congress.
News agency ANI quoted senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh as saying, “Sam Pitroda’s statement is not an official statement of the Congress. He does not speak on behalf of the Congress Party.”
Actually, Sam Pitroda had said about Ram temple, “He has no problem with any religion. You can visit the temple once and have darshan, but it is wrong to make it a platform.” He had said that Ram Mandir is not the issue but unemployment is the issue.
‘Is Ram Mandir an issue or inflation?’
While talking to news agency ANI, he attacked PM Modi and said, “He is not the Prime Minister of just one party but of all the people and the people of India want this message from him. Talk about employment, inflation, science and technology as well as other challenges. It is for those people (public) to decide what are the real issues? Is Ram Mandir the real issue? Or is unemployment the real issue? Is Ram Mandir the real issue or is inflation the real issue?”
BJP leaders targeted Sam Pitroda
After his statement, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders targeted him and said that Pitroda’s comment shows how allergic the Congress party is to Lord Ram and Hindus. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said, “The temple consecration ceremony has created a feeling of loss, disappointment and fear in the Congress. “Pitroda’s remarks reveal the party’s allergy towards Lord Ram and Hindus.”
Meanwhile, Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Modi said, “He said about EVM and Ram Mandir But also raised questions. It may be that they do not believe in God. Lord Ram and our customs are as important as unemployment. People like Sam Pitroda have no knowledge about our culture.”
