The demolition work of foot overbridge at Rampur railway station started from Thursday. Due to this, the operation of trains from the station will be halted for about six and a half hours. Officials said that Moradabad-Lalkuan Passenger and Lalkuan Moradabad Passenger have been cancelled.

Whereas New Delhi-Kathgodam Sampark Kranti Express will be run on the changed route. Due to safety reasons, Railways has decided to demolish the old foot overbridge at Rampur Railway Station.

On Thursday, teams from Bareilly and Moradabad reached Rampur to demolish the foot overbridge. A block of six and a half hours has been taken for this. Due to the block, all trains coming from Lucknow, Delhi and Moradabad will pass after 1:40 pm.

The foot overbridge is more than a hundred years old

More than 100 years old foot overbridge was demolished on Thursday. After demolishing this bridge built during the time of Nawabs, a new bridge will be constructed. Officials said that after construction, one end of this bridge will remain outside the station where the accelerator will be installed. The other end will go up to Railway Colony. A lift will also be installed. Lift will be used to reach platform number 1, 2 and 3 quickly.
