Actually, in an interview to Vicky Lalwani, Ranjit told how the controversy between Shatrughan and Sanjay Khan started in the presence of Bollywood veterans including Zeenat Aman in a party. He said, “I was at home with my girlfriend, when I heard about the fight. Shatrughan, Sanjay, Prakash and many people used to have fun at my house after shooting.”
Ranjit said that the fight between the two acts erupted when “Shatrughan Sinha had put his hand on Sanjay Khan’s cheek.” This was angry with Sanjay and he slapped in response. The matter deteriorated rapidly and Reena Roy shouted, “You hit him!” To settle the case, Reena had asked Sanjay and his group to go out, including Bob Christo.
Shatrughan’s companions reached Sanjay’s house with a pistol
Ranjit recalled, “When the enemy’s group heard about the slap, they reached my house, I was at my house, I did not want to look at my friend, so I stopped there. But soon, I heard the resonance on my intercom, ‘man, they are firing bullets.” The situation reached a dangerous turn when Shatrughna’s associates including Chaudhary and Bipin reached Sanjay’s house armed with the country pistol.
