Veteran actor Ranjeet has recently given an interview. In this he told that he has talked about all the parties that existed till 1970 and 1980. Ranjeet revealed that in the films it has been shown that he used to smoke a lot of cigarettes and drink alcohol but in real life he never indulged in all this. He also told that he did not drink alcohol in any party whereas his friends did and he used to take soft drinks.
While talking to ANI, Ranjeet told that his house was in Juhu and he often liked to party with friends in the evening. Ranjeet tells that there were often parties in his house in which beautiful actresses like Parveen Babi, Moushumi Chatterjee and Neetu Kapoor used to come and sometimes cook excellent dishes. The superstars of that era Sunil Dutt, Raj Kumar, Sanjay Khan, Firoz Khan, Dharmendra and Shatrughan Sinha were also part of the party. If anyone in the party was punctual, it was Rajesh Khanna who drank alcohol excessively but remained stable.
He said that Rajesh Khanna used to drink the entire bottle at parties but would reach work on time the next day. Rajesh Khanna was equally passionate about work as much as he was fond of partying. Even after partying all night, he would return the next day to shoot many films and this was what made him different from everyone else. Ranjeet told about Rajesh Khan that usually when we used to party, he would not sleep till 2 o’clock the next day but he would reach the shift at 10 o’clock. He had his own time for breakfast, lunch and dinner, which he used to fulfill from time to time.
