A record of planting 44.28 lakh saplings in a single day will be made on 20th July in Aligarh district along with UP. The state’s Sugarcane Development and Sugar Mill and District In-charge Minister Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary will inaugurate it in the name of ‘Ek Ped Maa’ on Kasimpur Canal Bridge Sadhu Ashram Marg at 11:30 am. Saplings will be planted at various places by MPs, MLAs and regional public representatives.
Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Aligarh Circle, B. Prabhakar informed that under the plantation campaign, Heritage Tree Garden, Wetland Conservation Forest and Mitra Forest will be established. In Aligarh division, 27,53,252 saplings will be planted by the Forest Department and 95,44,122 by other departments, totaling 1,22,97,374 saplings. In Aligarh district, 8,15,094 saplings will be planted at 75 sites by the Forest Department and 36,13,196 by other departments at 4867 sites, totaling 44,28,290 saplings. On this occasion, Nodal Officer and Principal Secretary Prison Administration and Correctional Services, Director General Prison Rajesh Singh and District Magistrate Vishakh G. will be present.

DFO Rajkumar Mittal said that 100% geo tagging of the planted saplings will be done.
