Cases of cheating, paper leaks and dummy candidates in competitive examinations in Rajasthan have tarnished the image of the state for a long time. But now the Bhajan Lal government has become fully alert to wash away this defamation and restore the dignity of the examinations. With the completion of one year of the government, preparations have been made for the conduct of the upcoming REET exam-2024. This examination will be conducted across the state on February 27, 2025, in which lakhs of candidates will appear.
Special attention to transparency and security
During the tenure of the previous Ashok Gehlot government, the opposition BJP had fiercely attacked the incidents of copying and paper leaks. This time the Bhajan Lal government is in no mood to repeat such a mistake. To ensure transparency and security in the conduct of the examination, Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant himself is monitoring the entire event.
Issuing the order, the Chief Secretary has given instructions to form examination conducting committees under the chairmanship of the District Collector in all the districts. The District Police Captain will be the co-chairman of these committees. Special guidelines have also been issued regarding examination centres.
- Examination centers will be set up in government schools and colleges only.
- Cyber cafes and photo shop shops within 100 meters of the center will remain completely closed on the day of the examination.
- There should be seating arrangement for at least 200 candidates at each examination centre.
- The centers will be established only in walled buildings, and buildings where coaching classes are conducted or there is a hostel nearby will not be selected.
Strict photo and identity verification
The Chief Secretary has given special instructions to ensure the identity of the candidates. The photographs on the admit card of the candidates will be matched with their present appearance. If the male candidate does not have a beard in his photograph and is bearded at the time of the examination, his identity will be carefully verified.
Registration process started
The application process for REET-2024 has started from December 16, and interested candidates can apply till January 15, 2025.
