A Transport Department official said that most of the vehicles whose registration has been canceled have got them registered in other states or have got them scrapped.

Registration of expired vehicles is being canceled in the capital. From the year 2021 till now, registration of about five lakh vehicles has been cancelled. These vehicles have completed their life of 10 years running on diesel and 15 years of running on petrol. Officials said that as the age of the vehicles is reaching their completion, their registration is being canceled accordingly.
