A new twist has come in the case of gang rape of a teenage girl in a hotel in Sarsaul area of Bannadevi area of Aligarh metropolis. On one hand, despite the allegations of the girl, the police has given a clean chit to the hotel operator in the incident. The plaintiff’s lawyer accused the police of collusion and filed an application in the court to summon the case diary. On which the court has summoned the investigator and Inspector Bannadevi along with the case diary on 12th February.
Giving information, plaintiff’s advocate Anoop Kaushik said that this incident took place on December 27. When the 10th class student went to school from home. Later she reached the hotel with a young man. Where an incident of gang rape took place with her. Hotel owner Vedprakash Sharma, brother-in-law Neeraj and two others became accused in the case. The entire incident was captured in CCTV. But citing CCTV, the police gave a clean chit to the hotel operator from the case.
Regarding this, the advocate raised questions on the CCTV in the POCSO court and raised questions on the police investigation and said that non-bailable warrants were issued against the hotel owner on the basis of the statements of the girl. Yet giving him a clean chit indicates nexus. Hair diary should be summoned in the case. On this, the court has summoned the investigator and inspector on Monday and asked them to appear personally along with the case diary. In this case, a copy of the order has also been sent to the SSP. In this way questions are being raised on the role of Bannadevi Police.
