Antara Srivastava, daughter of late comedian Raju Srivastava, has shared the last moments spent with her father. At first, Antara accepted the news of her father’s heart attack that it was about her uncle, who was also unwell and was admitted in AIIMS, Delhi. Antara said that she felt that there was something wrong with the news. Because Raju had a heart attack and his uncle Kaju was admitted to AIIMS.
Raju died in September 2022 due to a heart attack. He was on ventilator after being admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences on August 10, 2022. He was cremated in the presence of family and close friends.
In an interview to The Times of India, Antara said, “Life never tells you that this will be the last time. He was away from us for the last 10 days. He shot for Laughter Champion a day after my birthday.”
Antara was confused about father and uncle’s news
Regarding mixing the news of uncle Kaju and father Raju Srivastava, Antara said, “I thought that my uncle had a heart attack on August 10, 2022, when my mother called me for this information. Then I thought that There is something wrong. My uncle’s name is Kaju and in fact, when my father had a heart attack, he too was admitted to AIIMS in Delhi. In fact, my uncle was to be operated on the same day and my father was in the hospital. Keep coming and going. I thought the news of my father’s heart attack was a rumour.”
How was Raju Srivastava’s career?
Raju’s family consists of Shikha, Antara and son Ayushman. Raju Srivastava Entered the entertainment industry from the year 1980s. He rose to fame in 2005 after participating in the first season of the reality stand-up comedy show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. He also worked in hit Hindi films like ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ and ‘Baazigar’. Raju’s last appearance on screen was in the comedy series Hostel Days Season 3, which released after his death.
