Research on Covaxin is incomplete ICMR director revealed gave instructions BHU | ICMR person on journal claiming ‘those getting Covaxin are suffering from hair fall and skin diseases’


Covaxin News: Professor and Chairman of the Department of Geriatrics, Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) BHU, Prof. SS Chakraborty’s research on co-vaccine is surrounded by controversies. ICMR DG Dr. Rajiv Bahl has also written a letter to the professor regarding the mistakes in it.

ICMR Director General Dr. Rajiv Bahl has asked the writer and editor of the journal to immediately remove the research and publish an apology accepting the mistake. Apart from this, he has also pointed out the mistakes made in the research in this letter.

Know what is the whole matter

BHU professor and chairman of the department of geriatrics, Prof. SS Chakraborty had done research on co-vaccine. In this research he had explained the side effects of co-vaccine. He had told in his report that teenagers who got co-vaccine were experiencing hair fall. Apart from this, he is also suffering from skin diseases. There was a stir as soon as this research came to light.

Questions were raised regarding research

Lok Sabha Elections Questions were being raised when the report of this research was made public. Regarding this, the doctors of IMS BHU had said that this research is old and why was it given to the media in the midst of elections. This should be investigated. The intention behind making a half-baked report public does not seem right.

The investigation committee had also said that it was incomplete

Amidst the growing controversy, a four-member inquiry committee of BHU had investigated this research. The committee also said after investigation that sufficient facts were not taken into consideration. After which the investigation report was submitted to the Director of IMS.
