A young man who was returning to Hathras by bike after performing Devi Jagran in Khair along with his friend was hit by another bike, due to which he died on the spot. The youth sitting behind was referred to Aligarh in critical condition. The bike rider who took the opportunity to hit has absconded. The police have filled the Panchnama and sent the body for post-mortem.

35 year old Laxman Singh son of Gendalal, a resident of Ruheri village of Hathras district, used to sing bhajans and conduct puja in Devi Jagran. On the night of 16 May, he came to Khair on bike with his friend Raju son of Rameshchandra to perform Jagran. On the morning of 17 May, he was returning to the village after completing the Jagran. On the way, in front of the petrol pump on Khair-Gonda road, a speeding bike rider coming from Gonda hit his bike.

Due to the collision, he fell along with the bike. He died on the spot due to head injury. The other youth sitting behind on the bike was seriously injured. After the accident, the biker who hit the bike ran away taking the opportunity. Khair police arrived on the information of passers-by, filled the Panchnama of the deceased Laxman Singh and sent the body for post-mortem.

The injured youth was referred from CHC to AMU’s JN Medical College for treatment. Deceased Laxman was the youngest among three brothers. He has left behind his parents, wife and two sons crying. Well, the police have registered a report in the matter.
