REVIEW: ‘Bando Mein Tha Dum’ is the story of the passion and passion of the Indian cricket team

‘Bandon Mein Tha Dum’ Review: There is no dearth of cricket lovers all over the world and now it has become even easier to watch cricket matches live, ever since it has started being telecasted live on the OTT platform. Now those who like cricket have started watching live matches on their mobiles only. By the way, ever since the inception of IPL, people’s love for cricket has been increasing all over the country. All the films based on cricket have been made, they have got a lot of love from the audience.

In this episode, Voot has recently released a series based on cricket, named ‘Bandon Mein Tha Dum’, a documentary of 4 episodes. Let me tell you, in this series, there is an attempt to make the Indian cricket team’s tour of Australia historic. Actually, there is a Test match series between India and Australia in the name of Border-Gavaskar Trophy and during its last matches when Team India was in Australia, it was on target of spectators and journalists because of its performance.

The story of overcoming all these circumstances is ‘Bando Mein Tha Dum’, where the passion and determination of the players of the Indian cricket team was seen. The opening episode is a sore point for every cricket fan in India, where they see their team bundled out for 36 in Adelaide (their lowest total in Test history). Rahane is the center of attraction during the episode where he highlights how Virat Kohli’s run out in the first innings (which he caused) completely changed the momentum in Australia’s favour.

Kohli (who was then India’s captain) was given paternity leave after the first Test and his deputy Rahane took over for the rest of the tour. Everyone remembers Rahane, who scored a memorable century in that tournament and was widely appreciated for the platform he laid for India’s emphatic victory. But, it was revealed in this web series that during that time Rahane was not fully fit to bat before the innings due to a severe back strain.

The final episode was a story of grit and determination displayed by the pair of Hanuma Vihari and Ravichandran Ashwin. How two injured players fought hard against one of the best bowling attacks in world cricket and saved the match for India is a story to watch. The feelings of the Australian players have been displayed very well in the documentary. After the end of the episode, Rahane gets a little emotional while remembering the unprecedented moment of lifting the Border-Gavaskar trophy. Let me tell you, director Neeraj Pandey has managed to bring back the memories of this historic victory.
