A case has come to light in the City Kotwali police station area of Rewa city where neighbors arranged a deal for a minor girl and got her married to a 55-year-old man. The victim and her family members complained about the incident to the City Kotwali police. After that the police team took action and arrested the neighboring accused husband and wife. The person who married a minor in this case is still out of the custody of the police, the search for him is going on.
Let us tell you that the matter is of City Kotwali police station area. A minor living here talked about visiting her village Mainpuri in Uttar Pradesh with a family living in the neighbourhood. After that, the girl’s parents along with the husband and wife living in the neighborhood agreed to send her to Mainpuri. On December 15, the girl went to Mainpuri with her neighbors. After a few days passed, the girl contacted her family by phone and informed them about the incident that happened to her.
On December 28, the girl reached her home in Rewa and on December 30, along with her family members, she reached the City Kotwali police station and lodged a complaint about the incident. It is being told that the minor had gone to their village Mainpuri with the husband and wife living in the neighborhood of their house. During this time, for the sake of money, the neighbors made a deal with the minor and got her married to a person in Mainpuri. The minor girl protested against this, but he did not agree. A few days later, the minor called his family and informed them about the incident that happened to him.
Accused husband and wife arrested
After the complaint, the City Kotwali Police registered a crime against the accused and the City Kotwali Police team took action on the matter under the leadership of DSP Pratibha Sharma and took the accused husband and wife into their custody. After interrogating him, he presented him in the court and sent him to jail. At the same time, a 55-year-old man who married a minor girl is absconding, the police team is busy in locating him. Police have registered a case against the accused under Section 376, POCSO Act and SC-ST.
