A Volvo bus carrying 70 devotees from Porsa in Morena, Madhya Pradesh to Naimisharanya suddenly went out of control and overturned near Nunari Hardu turn on Bela-Dibiyapur road on Thursday evening. 11 passengers on the bus were injured in the accident. The injured were admitted to the hospital.
The Volvo bus left for Naimisharanya from Porsa in Morena on March 9. After completing the circumambulation of Naimisharanya, the bus carrying the devotees was returning to Porsa on Thursday evening. During this time an accident happened. The bus completely overturned and fell into a ravine. There was screams as soon as the accident happened.
Neighboring villagers and passers-by climbed on top of the overturned bus and started pulling out the people trapped inside. On information, police also reached the spot. The police admitted the injured 11 devotees to CHC Sahar in an ambulance. At the same time, during police interrogation, some devotees told that the bus driver was drunk.
The injured included Suresh son of Mathura Prasad resident of Morena, Premvati wife of Suresh Morena, Keshav Singh son of Dilip, Rambabu resident of Nandkapur Morena, Bhuribai, Kasan Devi, Parvati, Meera Bhadauria, Dhantobai, Munni Devi resident of Porsa etc. On receiving information about the incident, Bidhuna police including Bela and Sahar reached the spot. CO Bidhuna Ashok Kumar, who reached the spot, said that the injured are being treated.
