According to TOI’s report, along with the limousine car, President Putin has also gifted a tea set to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. During the meeting, Putin took the North Korean leader for a ride in the Russian-made Aurus car, with which their day-long discussion ended. Let us tell you that during Kim Jong’s visit to Russia last September, Putin had shown him the model of Aurus Motors’ executive car.

Putin gifted a limousine to Kim Jong-un
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, “When the leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea was at the Vostochny Cosmodrome spaceport, he saw this car. During that time, President Putin personally showed it to Kim Jong. After which he liked this car very much. Therefore, it was decided that it would be given to Kim Jong as a gift.
The luxury car brand was launched in 2013
Aurus, Russia’s first luxury car brand, was launched in 2013 under a contract with the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The project aimed to develop vehicles for both government officials and the general public. Overall, the exchange of gifts and friendly communication reinforces the deepening ties between Russia and North Korea. This relationship has attracted international attention from Western countries, especially in light of Moscow’s ongoing conflict in Ukraine and its importance to global security.
