Foreign Minister Jaishankar scolded Trudeau
“We have never found anything that is specific and useful for investigation by our agencies and I am not aware that in the past,” the External Affairs Minister said at a press conference here, according to news agency PTI. Has anything changed in that regard in a few days. He said that under the procedure, when foreign nationals are arrested, the government or embassy of their country of origin is informed.
When was Hardeep Singh Nijjar murdered?
Khalistani separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar (45) was killed outside the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara in Surrey, British Columbia on June 18, 2023. Canadian authorities recently arrested a fourth Indian citizen, Amandeep Singh, in connection with Nijjar’s murder.
Three arrests have already been made
Only a week ago the police had arrested three Indians in this case. Nijjar’s murder case had created a rift in India’s relations with Canada. Amandeep Singh (22), a resident of Surrey, Canada, has been charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
