A 30-year-old youth died tragically due to a transformer explosion on Wednesday in Mokuna village Ward-10 of Sattar Kataiya block of Saharsa. The deceased has been identified as Pappu Kumar Yadav, son of Rupendra Yadav. There was mourning in the family after this incident. The family members have accused the electricity department of serious negligence.
The family of deceased Pappu Kumar Yadav consists of his wife and three small children. Pappu was married in the year 2019 and has two daughters Pratiksha Kumari (5) and Priya Kumari (4) and a son Prince Kumar (2). According to family members, an ambulance was called immediately after the explosion, but due to lack of response for a long time, Pappu could not get timely medical help. Parshuram Kumar, brother of the deceased, says that if the ambulance had reached on time, perhaps Pappu’s life could have been saved.
Villagers told that the electricity situation in Mokuna village is very bad. At many places, dilapidated wires and old transformers become the cause of accidents. Complaints about this have been made to the electricity department several times, but no action was taken. Villagers say that many accidents have happened in the past due to poor electricity system. He said that the department’s negligence once again took the life of an innocent youth. The family members have held the electricity department responsible for this incident and demanded appropriate compensation and action against the culprits.
