Saif ali khan attack: In the attack on Saif Ali Khan, the Mumbai Police on Wednesday made an identity parade for Shariful Islam Shahzad, the main accused in the case in Arthur Road Jail. According to police investigation, Shariful Islam Shahzad had allegedly infiltrated Saif Ali Khan’s residence in Bandra with the intention of robbery. However, he faced the actor and in the scuffle during this time, he attacked Saif with a knife.
Identification parade of Shariful Islam accused in jail
On Wednesday morning, Staff Nurse Eliamma Philip and House Help reached Junu to identify Shariful at Saif Ali Khan’s house in the Identification Parade of Senior Jailor in Arthur Road Jail. In turn, Shariful was also raised in front of both of them along with other prisoners. The identity is in the presence of the Tehsildar after taking permission from the parade court. Police or jail staff are also not allowed to be present during the identity parade.
According to media reports, the police said that they have strong evidence against the accused, which includes CCTV footage and a positive facial test. The parade was held in the presence of a tehsildar and five panches, and in the process the witnesses investigated about 10 persons including the suspect. Rentally, the physical characteristics of these individuals such as physical texture, skin color and height were almost the same. A week after the accused is taken into judicial custody, the identity parade has been taken.
Accused’s facial recognition test was positive
Please tell that on 31 January, the Mumbai Police conducted a test conduct of facial identity of the accused. The Mumbai police said, “The arrested accused Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad’s face identity was a test positive. According to the Test, the person seen in CCTV footage and Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad is the same person.”
A case has been registered against the accused under sections 311, 312, 331 (4), 331 (6) and 331 (7) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). The accused has been identified as a resident of Bangladesh. Reports claimed that he was trying to flee his native village, but was detained at Hiranandatte in Thane.
