This luxurious bungalow of Saif Ali Khan is located in Gurugram. Recently, the actor’s sister Soha Ali Khan has revealed how Saif maintains the royal heritage Pataudi Palace at low cost.
In an interview with Cyrus Broacha on Housing.com YouTube channel, Soha Ali Khan said, ‘My mother keeps the accounts, she knows the daily expenses and the monthly expenses. For example, we white wash Pataudi, it is not painted because it is much less expensive.’
‘My brother was born a prince…’
Soha further says, ‘We have not bought anything new for a long time. It is the architecture of the place that is most attractive. These are not things, these are not objects. I was born in 1970 after the privy purse and royal attainder were abolished. My brother was born like a prince because he was born in 1970.’
‘With achievement comes a lot of responsibility and bills…’
Soha then says- ‘With achievement comes a lot of responsibilities and bills. My grandmother was the Begum of Bhopal and my grandfather was the Nawab of Pataudi. He loved her for many years but she was not allowed to marry him. Soha told that when her grandfather was building the Pataudi Palace, he had even run out of money. Because of this, more carpets were placed inside the palace instead of marble.’
