After the stampede at the Satsang venue in Hathras, Vrindavan’s Saint Premanand Maharaj will no longer meet devotees on the road at night for an indefinite period. He has forbidden devotees from standing on the road and crowding for the saint’s darshan at night.
In a letter issued after the Hathras incident from the Shrihit Radha Keli Kunj Ashram of Sant Premanand in Ramnerti area, it has been said that the incident in Hathras is unfortunate and heart-rending, in which all of us express our condolences to the family members. He has prayed to Thakurji that no such incident should happen in future.
He conveyed a message to his followers that in view of the Hathras incident, as a precautionary measure, Saint Premananda Maharaj used to go to his ashram Shrihit Radha Keli Kunj by walking from his residence at Chhatikara Marg at 2.15 pm.
During this time, devotees used to visit him. It has been closed indefinitely. He gave a message to the devotees that they should not stand on the way for darshan at night nor create any kind of ruckus on the way.
