The film Sultan was released on 6 July 2016, which was directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and the film was made under the Yash Raj banner. Salman Khan played the role of a wrestler in the film and Anushka Sharma was the lead actress of this film. Some media reports say that Salman Khan took Rs 100 crore as fee for this film, but some reports say that Salman did get 100 crores but it was as per his condition.
According to Sacnilk, the budget of the film Sultan was 80 crores while the film collected 601.87 crores worldwide. It is said that Salman had asked for some percentage profit instead of his fees in the film and he was sure that the film would be a blockbuster. This happened and Salman was given an amount of around 100 crores. However, there is no official proof of this.
Salman Khan gave Backu Back Blockbuster
In 2009, Salman Khan’s film Wanted was released which became a superhit. After this, he made back to back blockbusters like ‘Dabangg’ (2010), ‘Ready’ (2011), ‘Bodyguard’ (2011), ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ (2012), ‘Kick’ (2014), ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ (2015), ‘Sultan’ (2016), ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ (2017) and Salman became the box office king in that period. However, after 2017, some of Salman’s films became hits but his charisma did not return.
