The story of Salim and Javed has been shown in this. Now Salim Javed has told in an interview that veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan was the person who could have saved his and Javed’s pair from breaking up.
Salim said- I don’t know why they separated
Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s father and screen writer Salim Khan recently gave an interview to NDTV. During this, Salim Khan said, ‘When he (Javed Akhtar) told me that I want to make separate films, I said okay, no problem. You can’t forcefully stop anyone. I still don’t know why we separated. If it happened, it happened.
The reason for separation was not even mentioned
Speaking about Javed Akhtar, Salim Khan further said, ‘We did not tell anyone behind their back why we separated. We did not even mention it. We used to meet, we used to talk, I used to pass by his house, walk by him every day, wave my hand and he used to wave his hand too. It was a relationship, a friendship.’
Salim said- Amitabh Bachchan could have saved our pair from breaking up
In the interview, Salim Khan was asked whether the breakup of his and Javed Akhtar’s pairing affected Amitabh Bachchan. To this, Salim said, ‘It must have affected me. But if I were in his (Amitabh Bachchan’s) place… I would have told him (Javed Akhtar) ‘Don’t leave, you have a very good pairing, you are working well… work is going on… why are you breaking this pairing?’ Let us tell you that Amitabh Bachchan has worked in the films ‘Sholay’, ‘Don’ and ‘Deewar’ written by ‘Salim-Javed’.
