Salman Khan Bone Marrow Donor: Bollywood actor Salman Khan is a hyped actor of India who remains a part of the limelight for some reason or the other. Apart from films, Salman Khan also does charity work wholeheartedly. Similarly, many years ago, he saved the life of a girl by donating bone marrow. In this way, Salman Khan became India’s first bone marrow donor.
A girl was suffering from blood cancer and needed a bone marrow transplant for her treatment. The girl’s mother requested Salman Khan for help from other people but no one came forward but later Salman Khan came forward and promised.
Salman Khan had fulfilled his promise
According to a report in Times of India, Salman Khan got a bone marrow donor registry done and fulfilled his promise by becoming India’s first bone marrow donor. Dr. Sunil Parekh, one of the board members of MDRI, later revealed this.
He had told that after knowing about a 4 year old girl named Pooja, he took his football team along for charity. Even when the team lost in the last moments, Salman did not back down and helped that girl. His younger brother Arbaaz Khan also came forward to support him in this work.
A video also went viral on social media when the woman asked for help from everyone in the audience for her daughter, then Salman promised. Salman is saying in this video that he will get his bone marrow test done and if it matches then he will help her completely.
Salman Khan does charity through ‘Being Human’
Salman Khan saved that girl but not only this, he has done many such things which have saved the lives of many people. Salman Khan has told many times that more than half of the money from the sales of his branded ‘Being Human’ store goes to his ‘Being Human’ charity.
Apart from this, Salman Khan has also helped many small actors and actresses associated with the film industry. Artists like Somi Ali, Faraz Khan, Rakhi Sawant are present in the industry. All of them say that when they asked for help from Salman Khan, the star supported them.
