Salman Khan House Firing Case: Anuj Thapan, who was accused in the Salman Khan firing case, committed suicide in jail. After which Anuj’s mother filed a petition for a CBI inquiry in which Salman Khan’s name was also present as an accused. Now the Bombay High Court has ordered to remove Salman Khan’s name from this petition on Monday.
Anuj Thapan, the accused in the Salman Khan firing case, was arrested by the police. But a few days after his arrest, Anuj’s dead body was found in the toilet of the police lock-up. After which the accused’s mother Rita Devi demanded a CBI inquiry into the matter.
‘Remove his name’ – Bombay High Court
A bench of Justice Revati Mohite-Dere and Justice Shyam Chandak has ordered Anuj Thapan’s mother Rita Devi to remove Salman Khan’s name from the petition. The court said, ‘Remove his name. The petitioner wants permission to amend the petition to remove the name of accused 4 as there is no petition against him and no relief has been sought against him.’
What is the matter?
Let us tell you that on April 14, two motorcycle riders opened fire outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s house in Bandra area of Mumbai. In this case, accused Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal were arrested from Gujarat. It is being said that the accused belong to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Anuj Thapan was arrested along with another person from Punjab on April 26 on charges of providing weapons to the shooters. Anuj committed suicide by hanging himself 6 days after his arrest.
