In Samastipur, Bihar, a car coming from Muzaffarpur at high speed hit the Maldhowa tempo from behind and overturned in a pit. Two people traveling in the tempo died and three were injured at the spot. This incident took place near Rajba Line Hotel in Bangra police station area.
According to the information, near Rajba Line Hotel at around 8.30 am, a car (safari) coming at a high speed from Muzaffarpur side hit the Maldhowa tempo going from the same direction to Motipur vegetable market from behind. In this accident, Pradeep Sah (50), resident of Chikanota, Muzaffarpur and Ramvaran Mahato (60), a vegetable businessman riding the tempo, died on the spot. While Jitendra Ram, Sunil Mahato and Devendra Sah were badly injured.
After this, after reaching the spot, Bangra police, with the help of local people, sent the bodies of both the deceased to Samastipur Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Also, all three seriously injured persons were admitted to the hospital for treatment. At the same time, the police seized both the vehicles involved in the accident and took them to the police station.
Here, CPI(ML) Block Secretary Surendra Prasad Singh and Khegramas leader Prabhat Ranjan Gupta have expressed deep sorrow over this accident. The MLA leaders have demanded from the administration to give a compensation of Rs 5 lakh each to the family members of the deceased, to provide treatment to the injured at the government level and to make arrangements to prevent road accidents.
