Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav inaugurated the medical college built at a cost of Rs 674 crore in Samastipur district of Bihar. This medical college is located in Narghoghi village, about 20 kilometers from the district headquarters. During the inauguration, the Chief Minister said that local students will also benefit from the opening of a medical college in this district. At the same time, not only will the area be developed, patients will also not have to go to Darbhanga-Patna.

During the meeting he said that if people fall ill, they should get treatment in this medical college. Specialist doctors have been deputed here. College enrollment will also start from this session. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav said that due to the efforts of the Chief Minister, a medical college was opened in this area. Along with studies, people will also be able to get their treatment here.

‘Admission will be available on 100 seats of MBBS course’

The Deputy Chief Minister said that the Medical College Hospital will have the facility to provide treatment on 500 beds. At the same time, students will get admission for MBBS course on 100 seats. People of Samastipur and surrounding districts were eagerly waiting for this medical college. This hospital equipped with modern facilities will prove to be very beneficial for the people here.

He said that this type of testing machine is also being installed which is the latest in Bihar. The tests at government rates will be the same in all hospitals, but the tests here will be very reliable. Dharamshala has also been built to accommodate the patients as well as their accompanying family members. Where excellent accommodation arrangements have been made.

Medical college on 21 acres of land

21 acres of land has been donated by Narghoggi Shriramjanaki Thakurbari for the college. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had laid its foundation stone on November 6, 2019. Its construction has cost Rs 674 crore. Rs 113.40 crore has been given from the Center and Rs 478.37 crore has been given from the State. There is also a plan to build an auditorium on ten acres. Every year students will be enrolled for 100 seats in the college.

These facilities are available in the hospital

The hospital is equipped with modern facilities. Operation theater has been constructed with new technology. State-of-the-art model ultrasound machines, CT scan, X-ray and other machines have been installed. There is a system to supply oxygen to the patients through a gas manifold system. Oxygen plant is being installed in the hospital premises. A separate sub-grid station is being constructed for 24-hour power supply.
