Samples of inflammation and allergy medicine Betchem 0.5 mg, watery eyes and rhinitis medicine LCchem-5 and Rabiford-DSR capsule for acidity and stomach diseases have failed in the test. The Directorate has completely banned the sale of these medicines. Now preparations are being made to file an FIR against the manufacturing companies and stockists. Samples of these medicines were sent from about 25 medical stores of Kannauj to the government laboratory in Lucknow for testing. These three medicines are being manufactured in Haridwar, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana.

Drug Inspector Dr. Parmesh Dwivedi said that in the last two months, about 35 medical stores, dispensaries and other medicine shops were inspected in the district, in which samples of about eight types of medicines were taken and sent to the Government Laboratory, Lucknow for testing. Of these, samples of Betmate, LCKem-5 and Rabiford-DSR have failed in testing. These medicines have been kept in sub-standard and misprinted category. The investigation report was received from the lab on Wednesday, based on which the Directorate has banned these three medicines for sale in the entire country.
He informed that a complaint will be filed in Kannauj Session Court against Mascon Life Sciences Private Limited, Haridwar, manufacturer of Betmet-0.5 mg, Titans Pharma, Una, Himachal Pradesh, manufacturer of LCchem-5 tablet and Super Cure Biotech Private Limited, Haryana, manufacturer of Rabiford-DSR capsule. Their session trial will also take place here. He told that the sale of these medicines will be banned by running a campaign. For this, surprise inspection of medicine shops and stockists will be done. If anyone is found selling even after the ban, an FIR will be lodged against him also.
