Samta Express train stopped in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh after a stone was hit on the engine. It was going from Hazrat Nizamuddin to Visakhapatnam. The loco pilot informed the control room. After this the train moved ahead. The train was checked at the junction yard. When everything was found normal, the train was sent ahead.

It is being told that train number 12808 had left Hazrat Nizamuddin at around 7.06 am on Tuesday morning. The train moved ahead and reached Palwal. The train was between Palwal and Sholaka. It was moving at the prescribed speed, when a stone came and hit the engine of the train.

When there was a loud noise, fearing something untoward, the loco pilot immediately informed the control room. The train reached Mathura Junction at 9.14 pm, about an hour behind schedule. The RPF team checked the engines and coaches in the yard. After everything was found normal, the train left the junction for its destination at 9.19.

RPF Assistant Commandant Shami Akhtar Khan told that at the place where the loco pilot had heard the sound of an object hitting the engine. PWI labor was working there. It is possible that a small stone may have hit the engine. The vehicle was checked at the junction. The engine was completely safe. There is nothing else of any kind.
