It is worth mentioning that during the 1993 Mumbai bomb blast, ‘Sanju Baba’ was found guilty of keeping legal weapons in his house. He was later sentenced to 6 years in this case by the court. This case went on for a long time. Sanjay Dutt had to spend about 5 years in Pune’s Yerwada jail.
Sanjay used to fall asleep while sitting in jail
Sanjay Dutt had to face a lot of difficulties while serving his sentence in jail. Sanju Baba used to fall asleep while sitting in jail. This happened to him out of compulsion. Sanjay Dutt himself revealed this on the TV show ‘Yaaron Ki Baraat’. This show was hosted by Ritesh Deshmukh and Sajid Khan.
Even today Sanjay hasn’t given up his prison habit
Sanjay Dutt had come to Sajid and Ritesh’s show with Ajay Devgan and Abhishek Bachchan. Then Abhishek had said that Sanjay Dutt never sleeps lying down. He sleeps sitting. Sajid asked why? So Sanjay Dutt said, ‘What used to happen in jail is that when it used to rain, the water in the cell would be filled up to the knees. We had to sleep in that water. So that’s why we sleep like this (sitting). Then Sajid said that it has become a habit. On this Sanju Baba said that he still has the same habit. Then Sajid said that he has not given up that habit. On this Sanju Baba said no.
