Saphala Ekadashi 2024: Saphala Ekadashi fast is being observed today i.e. on 26th December. By fasting on Safala Ekadashi, one gets the blessings of success in all auspicious works and success in every area of life. Saphala Ekadashi is the Ekadashi of Pausha month and the special importance of worshiping Lord Vishnu along with bathing in the holy river on this day has been mentioned in the scriptures.
Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha of Paush month is a fast to remove the problems in family and work. Astrologer Dr. Anish Vyas, Director of Pal Balaji Astrology Institute, Jaipur, Jodhpur, told that in the Vaishnav section of Skanda Purana, in the chapter named Ekadashi Mahatmya, Lord Shri Krishna had told Yudhishthir, the elder brother of Pandavas, about the fast of Ekadashi. On Ekadashi, along with Lord Vishnu, his incarnations should also be worshipped, especially Shri Ram and Shri Krishna. Offer butter and sugar candy along with basil to Laddu Gopal, the child form of Shri Krishna. Chant the mantra Krim Krishnaya Namah.
Worshiping Shri Ram Darbar on this day also gives special virtue. Goddess Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman join Shri Ram in Ram Darbar. By worshiping all these, happiness, peace and love remain in the family. Obstacles in work are removed and goals are accomplished. There is such a belief. On the evening of Saphala Ekadashi, light a lamp near Tulsi in the courtyard of the house and do parikrama. Tulsi should not be touched after sunset. The idol of Shaligram ji should also be kept in the puja. Offer worship materials like garlands, flowers, clothes etc. to Tulsi and Shaligram ji. Offer fruits. Sit in front of Tulsi and chant Lord Vishnu’s mantra Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya.

On this day, planting a Tulsi plant in the north, east or north-east direction of the house increases your wealth and prosperity. Even if you cannot fast on Saphala Ekadashi, you can do it after worshiping as per the rituals. By doing this you also get the blessings of Lord Vishnu. On the day of Saphala Ekadashi, Kheer should be offered to Lord Vishnu and basil leaves should also be added to it.
