Despite receiving positive reviews from audiences and critics alike, the film has failed to attract audiences to the theatres. The box office report of the film is extremely disappointing. Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sarfira’, who has been facing failure at the box office for quite some time, has also disappointed a lot. There were a lot of expectations from the film, however, after reaching the theatres, it failed to live up to the expectations of the audience and along with that, the film also lagged behind in terms of earnings. It has been just eight days since ‘Sarfira’ was released and it seems to be wiped out from the box office.
Talking about the film’s earnings, it opened with 2.5 crores on the first day of its release. On the second day, ‘Sarfira’ earned 4.25 crores. On the third day, it earned 5.25 crores, on the fourth day, 1.45 crores, on the fifth day, 1.95 crores, on the sixth day, 2.15 crores and on the seventh day, it earned 1.2 crores. After this, ‘Sarfira’ collected 18.75 crores in the first week, while now this film has reached its second week and the initial figures of its second Friday’s earnings have also come.
- According to the early trend report of Saccanilk, ‘Sarfira’ earned only Rs 40 lakhs on the 8th day of its release i.e. on the second Friday.

This film also had to face tough competition from Prabhas starrer ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ which has been ruling the box office for the last three weeks. Due to which the Akshay Kumar starrer film was able to earn only a few crores. On the other hand, this Friday, Vicky Kaushal’s comedy-filled film Bad News has knocked in the theatres and this film has washed away ‘Sarfira’ as soon as it came. As soon as ‘Bad News’ was released, the earnings of ‘Sarfira’ have been reduced to lakhs. In such a situation, ‘Sarfira’ seems to be wiped out from the box office in just eight days.
Directed by Sudha Kongara, ‘Sarfira’ is a Hindi remake of the 2020 Tamil blockbuster ‘Soorarai Pottru’. The original film starred Surya and Aparna Balamurali in lead roles, while actors like Akshay Kumar, Radhika Madan and Paresh Rawal have played important roles in ‘Sarfira’.
