Sushmita Sen has revealed the story behind her second birthday. In a video shared on her Instagram feed in collaboration with Sun Pharma, the actress narrated the story behind her heart attack, which she suffered while shooting. She revealed that those were the longest 45 minutes of her life and she felt her story had ended.
Sushmita said, “My life is a story, and I have lived it. Some time ago, there was a big twist in the story of my life. It was when I had a massive heart attack. Those were the longest 45 minutes of my life. There came a moment when I felt that my story was over.”
Sushmita thanked the doctors for giving her a second chance at life
In the same video, she thanked her doctors for saving her life and mentioned that it was the doctors who gave her a second chance at life on February 27, 2023. Sushmita wrote, “But thanks to my doctors, this is the reason my story is still going on. They did not give up on me and did not let me give up. They wrote a new story of my life and gave me a new direction. That was my second birth date. I am dedicating that day and my story to all the doctors. Today is the day of gratitude. My doctors have given me a second chance at life, and I want to thank them from the top, middle and bottom of my heart.”
Sushmita Sen had a heart attack in March 2023
Let us tell you that in March 2023, Sushmita suffered a massive cardiac arrest while shooting for the web series Aarya in Jaipur. The actress had told on her Instagram account that she had undergone angioplasty and a stent was placed in her heart.
Sushmita had written, “Keep your heart happy and brave, and it will be there for you when you need it the most Shona, I had a heart attack a few days ago… had angioplasty… a stent put in… and most importantly, my heart specialist confirmed that ‘I have a big heart’ So many people to thank for their timely support and constructive action…will do that in another post! This post is just to give you (my well-wishers and loved ones) the good news… that all is well and I am ready for some life again!!! I love you guys so much!!!”
