Saudi Arabia wants to develop its tourism sector by giving free visa to Indians

Saudi Arabia is now looking for ways to advance its country’s economy beyond oil trade. For this, this country has decided to strengthen tourism. Indian citizens are the first choice of Saudi Arabia as tourists. For this reason, Saudi Arabia is giving many attractive offers to Indian citizens, which also includes free visa.

Saudi Arabia wants 7.5 million (75 lakh) Indian citizens to come there as tourists by the year 2030. For this reason, special offers are being given for Indians.

Saudi economy depends on oil trade
Saudi Arabia is among the richest countries in the world. Its economy is basically dependent on the export of oil. However, with time, alternatives to oil as fuel are being sought in every field. The increasing demand for electric vehicles shows that in the coming times the demand for oil will not be the same as before. Apart from this, oil wells are running out in Saudi. Saudi Arabia understands this very well. For this reason, it is looking at other options to keep its economy strong.

Target to attract 75 lakh tourists
Speaking to news agency ANI, Saudi Tourism Authority Chairman Alhassan Aldabagh said, “We have put a special focus on Indians to promote tourism in Saudi. By 2030, we want to invite 7.5 million (75 lakh) tourists from India.” Riyadh aims that in the next six years, 56 percent contribution to its economy should come from resources other than oil. For this reason, more emphasis is being laid on tourism.

To promote tourism, Saudi Arabia is relaxing the laws of its country. Along with this, it is also going to start a scheme to give free visa for 96 hours. Saudi has 10 VFS offices in India. According to Aldabagh, Saudi is also considering increasing their numbers.
