Sawan Monday 2024: In Shiv Puran, Shiva is accepted as the chief eternal and perfect God among the Panchdevas. It is said that on every Monday of Sawan, many measures and worship are done to please Lord Shiva. This gives special benefits to the devotees and their sorrows and pains are removed.

The fourth Monday of Sawan is on 12 August 2024. After this, the fifth Monday of Sawan will be on 19 August 2024. Sawan will end on this day. On the Monday of Sawan, it is considered best to install white colored Nataraja, Parthiv Shivling, Shivling of Sphatik in the house.

Method of worship
On the fourth Monday of Sawan, take a bath in the morning by adding Gangajal to the bathing water, after this, in the auspicious time, anoint Lord Shiva with milk, then make a stream of ghee and pour it on the Shivling, now offer curd and honey. Then bathe the Shivling with sugar. Bathe Mahadev with clean water and then apply sandalwood tilak and offer ghee lamp, flowers, Bel leaves, cannabis leaves, Shami leaves and sweets to Bholenath. Recite Shiv Chalisa. After the Aarti, donate as much as you can.
