If you have received a voice message from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), then you need to be alert. Actually, scammers are sending voice messages to people in the name of RBI. In this, they are trying to trap people by showing the fear of closing their bank accounts. The government has also issued an alert regarding this. Calling it a scam, the government said that there is a need to be cautious of such voice messages.
Threats are being given in voice messages
In this fake voice message being sent in the name of RBI, it is being said, “Hello, this is the Reserve Bank of India. Your credit card has been found involved in fraud activities. In the next 2 hours, all the bank accounts opened in your name will be closed. Will be given. Press 9 for more information.”

If a person presses 9 out of fear, then there is a fear of his personal information falling into the hands of scammers. Therefore, do not follow any instructions given in this voice message.

Nowadays, cases of cyber crime have increased a lot and scammers keep trying to defraud people by any means. Therefore it is important to take extra precautions. To avoid such scams, it is very important to keep some things in mind-
– If someone is talking impersonating a bank or government official, then ensure the phone number and identity. The caller may also be a scammer.
– Do not share sensitive information with anyone on the phone. Government officials never ask for personal details including OTP.
– If someone asks you to do something in a hurry, do not follow such instructions. Take some time and try to understand the situation.
– If you receive a call from any suspicious number or suspect any disturbance, immediately block and report such number.
