UP School Holidays: Uttar Pradesh is currently facing the wrath of severe heat. After which the Basic Education Department has extended the holidays of the little ones. Summer vacation was till 15 June 2024 in council and recognized schools from class 01 to 08 under the Basic Education Council Uttar Pradesh. In view of the weather department’s forecast and increasing heat, the period of summer vacation has been extended for the students till 28 June 2024.
According to the notice, teachers will have to be present in the school from 07.30 am to 01.30 pm from 25 June 2024 and do other administrative work. Whereas schools will be opened for students from 28 June 2024. Students will have to be present in the school from 07.30 am to 10.00 am. Whereas, from 01 July 2024, schools will be operated from 07.30 am to 01.30 pm.
Due to the heat, the teachers’ union on behalf of the parents was demanding the government to extend the summer vacation. It was feared that the children’s health would be affected due to the temperature being above 45 degrees Celsius. Due to the scorching heat, the summer vacation of council schools has been extended. Now the schools will open from June 25 instead of June 18. This decision has been taken to give relief to the children from the heat.
