This time due to hide and seek weather, there has been no sweetness in the mangoes. Agricultural scientists are saying that they will have to wait for the end of May. Farmers doing mango business or gardening need to take some precautions.

Apart from this, it would be better to harvest mangoes with stalks 8 to 10 cm long. How to identify ripe mango
Pro. Dr. SK Singh said that at the time of ripening of mango, the maximum temperature should be 30-35 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature should be 20-24 degrees Celsius. Humidity in the morning should be between 85-95% and humidity in the evening should be between 75-85%. He said that mango producing farmers should know that it takes a lot of effort to pluck mangoes from the tree. Whether you have a single tree or an entire orchard, knowledge of mango harvesting is very important. It requires planning, time and technique.

It takes about 120 to 140 days from fruit setting to harvesting. This varies according to the species. When ripe, the shoulders (sides) of the mango fruit rise up and remain partially sunken while still attached to the stalk. The dark green fruits turn light yellow at maturity. In some mango varieties, a clear white layer forms on the skin of the fruit. When the mango fruits ripen and start falling in the orchard, then the gardener understands that the time has come to harvest the mangoes.

Keep these things in mind
There is a risk of many types of infections after harvesting of mango fruit. These diseases can be mainly caused by fungi and bacteria.
-If there is any scratch or injury on the surface of the fruit, microorganisms like bacteria, yeast and mold invade it and cause internal decay.
-Diseases occurring after harvesting of fruits are not managed properly. Fruits should always be harvested before sunrise or in the evening.
-Never keep the fruits in direct sunlight after harvesting.
-Not all fruits on the same tree may mature at the same time. Because even the fruits never grow together in the scene. Therefore, one should try to do 2-3 pickings in an orchard in a weekly interval.
-While harvesting, avoid fruits falling on the ground at all costs. Use mango harvester with blade and nylon net for collection of fruits.
-At the time of harvesting, care should be taken that the secretions coming out of the fruit do not fall on the fruit.
