The second edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Exhibition, an important event that introduces entrepreneurs, manufacturers and traders from around the world to the ‘craft, cuisine and culture’ of Uttar Pradesh, will be organized from 25 to 29 September. While reviewing the preparations for this important event to be held in the huge premises of India Exhibition Mart, Greater Noida, the Chief Minister said that the first edition of the UP International Trade Show was held from 21 to 25 September 2023. In which more than 03 lakh people participated, including 2,000 exhibitors and more than 500 from 60 countries and more than 70 thousand buyers from different states of the country.

During this period, the emergence of more than 01 lakh new business sources was witnessed. The first attempt in 2023 was an unexpected success, now this year the theme of the show should be kept as ‘Unique Platform of Sourcing’. He said that through the International Trade Show, the whole world will get to know the amazing ‘craft, cuisine and culture’ of Uttar Pradesh. The Chief Minister said that this international trade show is going to be important in terms of providing a global platform for entrepreneurs, manufacturers and exporters of sectors like big industries, IT/ITES, MSME, startup, education, agriculture, health, tourism and culture, energy, ODOP of Uttar Pradesh. No stone should be left unturned to give it a grand look.

Expressing happiness over the registration of more than 2500 exhibitors in the trade show so far, the Chief Minister said that the expected cooperation is being received from the Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Commerce, Department of Industrial Promotion and Internal Trade and Ministry of MSME of the Government of India for the successful organization of the trade show. More foreign buyers, entrepreneurs, companies should be invited by maintaining continuous dialogue with Indian ambassadors/high commissioners posted in more and more countries. This multisectoral trade show is going to be a big help in providing global market to our local entrepreneurs, products and crafts.

The Chief Minister was informed that this year ‘Vietnam’ is cooperating as a partner country in the trade show. Vietnam’s delegation will be present in the trade show. Vietnam’s high-quality products will be displayed in the trade show. Along with this, a cultural troupe from Vietnam will also perform. Visitors will also be able to enjoy Vietnamese and Indian cuisine.

Stressing on making the trade show grand, the Chief Minister said that during this important 5-day trade show, knowledge sessions should also be organized on a particular theme every day. A session on the insurance sector should be organized with the cooperation of IRDA, similarly, special sessions should be organized focusing on the efforts made in the state regarding innovation and startup. Union ministers should be invited in the special sessions. A Khadi-centric fashion show will also be organized in the trade show. The Chief Minister said that cultural presentations showcasing the art and culture of Uttar Pradesh should also be organized on all five days, along with this, special stalls should be set up introducing the delicious cuisine of Uttar Pradesh to all.

The Chief Minister said that people from different states of the country as well as from many countries are excited about this event and are coming to participate. In such a situation, keeping its importance in mind, all departments have an important role in the event. Road shows can be organized in different states for its wide publicity. The Chief Minister also directed to make arrangements for the youth studying in higher educational institutions to visit the trade show. In the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the District Magistrate Gautam Buddha Nagar, Police Commissioner, CEO of Greater Noida Industrial Authority to make all arrangements in view of the movement, security and other facilities of dignitaries, guests, entrepreneurs, craftsmen.
