Before the assembly elections, Congress has suffered a big setback in the capital Delhi. Senior party leader Matin Ahmed left Hath and joined the Aam Aadmi Party. Five-time MLA Chaudhary Mateen Ahmed joined AAP today in the presence of AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal.
According to the information received, Arvind Kejriwal went to Mateen’s house and got him included in the party. During this, Minister Imran Hussain was also present. Seelampur’s sitting MLA Abdul Rehman and Seelampur councilor Hajjan Shakeela did not reach. Matin Ahmed was MLA from Seelampur from 1993 to 2015. AAP won the Seelampur assembly seat in the 2015 and 2020 elections, in which Mohammad Ishraq won in 2015 and Abdul Rehman in 2020.
