Seven youths who had gone to the ghat for idol immersion after Saraswati Puja at Simra Ghat in Vaishali police station area of Vaishali district of Bihar suddenly drowned in the river. Due to this there was an atmosphere of chaos on the spot. After this the incident was informed to the local police station. After the information, the police reached the spot and started investigating the entire matter. At the same time, with the help of local people, five youths were taken out of the river. Whereas, two youths died due to drowning. After this a large number of people gathered at the ghat.
The deceased have been identified as Sanjeet Kumar (17), son of Kamal Paswan, resident of Chandni Chowk village, Vaishali Block Panchayat Daudnagar village, and Rahul Kumar (18), son of Nathuni Das. Vaishali police station has taken the body into its custody and is busy in conducting the post-mortem. There has been an uproar among the family members due to the death of both the youths. The family members are in bad condition and crying.
According to the information, all the youth had gone together to immerse the idol in the river. But suddenly the idol went out of control in the water. After this everyone went under the statue. Actually, all the youths had gone into deep water to immerse the idol. Among them, five people were rescued with the help of local people. But people failed to rescue the two youths, due to which both of them died due to drowning.
At the same time, with the help of local people and local fishermen, the bodies of both the youth were taken out. After receiving the news of the death of the youth, there was mourning in the families of both the youth. It is noteworthy that the district administration had made extensive preparations in the district for idol immersion and worship. But meanwhile a tragic incident happened in Vaishali.
