Nine people died in a horrific road accident on NH-2 late Sunday evening in Kaimur district of Bihar. The accident took place near Devkali in Mohania police station area. After the accident, there was a long jam on the highway. Police and NHAI team reached the spot after getting the information and started taking out the body and investigating the entire matter.

According to the information, as soon as the Scorpio going from Sasaram towards Varanasi reached near Devkali village near Mohania NH-2, it went out of control after hitting a bike rider and crossed the divider and went to the other side. Then it collided with the container coming from the front. Due to which a total of 9 people including the Scorpio rider and the bike driver died tragically at the spot.

At the same time, after the incident, there was a long traffic jam on NH-2. Police reached the spot on information and started investigation. Also the dead are being identified. At present, the police have sent the bodies to Bhabhua Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

Scorpio was going towards Uttar Pradesh

Mohania SDPO Dilip Kumar told that the Scorpio was coming from Sasaram which was going towards Uttar Pradesh via Mohania, when as per our information we came to know that while trying to save the Scorpio biker, the bike collided. While hitting it, it went across the divider, due to which there was a strong collision with the container coming from the other side. While a total of eight people traveling in the Scorpio have died, the bike rider has also died.

Police engaged in identifying the dead

He said, at present the police is busy investigating the case and the identity of everyone. At present all the bodies are being sent to Bhabhua Hospital for postmortem. Along with this, it is also being ascertained where all the people were from, so that their families can be informed.

CM Nitish expressed grief over the accident

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed deep condolences on the death of nine people in a road accident in Kaimur. CM Nitish said, the accident is very sad. He is very hurt by this incident. He prayed to God to provide strength to the families of the deceased in this hour of grief. Also, Nitish Kumar has directed the Kaimur District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police, who are camping at the accident site, to provide proper treatment to the seriously injured people and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
