Pathan: Bollywood’s king Shah Rukh Khan is making a comeback on the silver screen after four years with the action thriller ‘Pathan’. Amidst all this, film journalist and one of the best trade analyst Himesh Mankad in a special conversation with ABP News about the tremendous craze people are seeing about Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s film ‘Pathan’, trends related to advance booking of the film, audience in the film discussed the attractive features and commercial possibilities of the film.
‘Pathan’ can break records of many films
Senior trade analyst Girish Wankhede told in an interview to ABP News that with what and why people are eagerly waiting for ‘Pathan’ and Shahrukh’s film is being released as a hero after four years, taking the best opening as well as many Hindi films. K’s record can be dashed.
Single screen audience is also crazy for ‘Pathan’
While talking to ABP News, Manoj Desai, the owner of Gaiety-Galaxy cinema or executive director of G7 Multiplex, informed that this is the first time in 51 years of establishment of Gaiety-Galaxy cinema that their cinemas will have morning shows at 9 and 9.30 am. The film will be shown in the show of (usually shows start from 12 o’clock here). He said that there was a demand from Shahrukh’s fan club to book both the theaters for the fans in the early morning shows, so they could not refuse. Significantly, Gaiety and Galaxy are very famous in terms of single screen audience. In such a situation, Manoj Desai said that even the single screen audience is eager to watch ‘Pathan’ and 90% of the tickets till the weekend have already been sold in their theatres.
The film will be screened in 200 cities on the first day of the release of ‘Pathan’
On the other hand, Yash Paryani, co-founder of @SrkUniverse fan club told ABP News that his fan club will screen the film in at least 200 cities on the first day of the release of ‘Pathan’ for the fans associated with the club. According to Yash, at least 50,000 Shahrukh fans will watch films through these special screenings. Due to the huge demand, the number of film cities (increased to around 250) and Shahrukh’s fans watching the film may also increase, which may go up to around 65,000-70,000. He told why Shahrukh Khan’s fans are so eager to see ‘Pathan’.
‘Pathan’ is expected to have a great opening
Fans are very excited about the return of Shahrukh Khan as a hero after four years on the cinema screen.
