Main Hoon Na 20 Years : Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan’s film was released in the year 2004. This film has now completed 20 years. The film made a huge splash with its earnings on the big screen. The pairing of Shahrukh Khan in half sweater and his teacher Sushmita Sen in red saree was also liked a lot in the film. Along with this, the audience also liked the negative role of Sunil Shetty. But Farah Khan’s first choice for Raghavan was not Sunil but some other actor.
So many actors rejected the role
Recently, Farah Khan talked about Sunil Shetty’s character Raghavan in an interview with casting director Mukesh Chhabra. He told that today’s film will seem incomplete to the viewers without Sunil Shetty. Shahrukh Khan wanted to cast a veteran actor for the character of Raghavan in that film. Shahrukh Khan’s first choice for this role was Kamal Haasan. But after hearing the script of the film, the actor refused to do the film. Naseeruddin Shah and Nana Patekar also rejected this role.
Sunil Shetty once said yes
Farah Khan said – We were sure that only a big actor would play the villain character in the film. Finally we approached Sunil Shetty. Sunil Shetty said yes after listening to the script in one go. Farah Khan further said that I had also shown the reference pictures of Sunil Shetty of the character for which Sunil was cast. The actor similarly adapted himself to the character of Raghavan within some time.
After this, my first film was prepared in which I made my debut as a director. This film was made under Shahrukh Khan’s company Red Chillies Entertainment. in this movie Shahrukh Khan Along with Sushmita Sen, Sunil Shetty, Amrita Rao, Zayed Khan were seen in lead roles. The pairing of Amrita Rao and Zayed Khan was also very much liked in this film.
