Swami Avimukteshwarananda On Maha Kumbh: The stage is set for Mahakumbh at the Sangam of Prayagraj. The biggest gathering of Hindu religion is going to take place in January. Controversy has erupted over the possible entry of Muslims into this holy gathering. One group argues that Muslims should be banned from entering, while the other group insists that they should be allowed to enter.

Shankaracharya of Jyotishapeeth Swami Avimukteshwaranand had a special conversation with ABP News on the matter. Also expressed his opinion on other issues also. He said, “Makkah Sharif, the biggest pilgrimage site of Muslims, where non-Muslims are stopped 40 kilometers before. Therefore, Muslims have no work in Kumbh and anyway Muslims did not make any demand. “Work was done to create an atmosphere by the political parties.”

‘The current government should be formed again in Maharashtra’

Regarding Maharashtra elections, Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand said, “The work which the Chief Ministers of the state had not done in the last 78 years has been done by the present Chief Minister of Maharashtra. We want his government to repeat.”

‘Have received support in Jammu and Kashmir’

On the issue of cow slaughter, he said, “The Muslims of Kashmir told us that Maharaj ji will make a strict law on cow slaughter. We also get support from Muslims and Christians for banning cow slaughter. If the Yogi government gives the status of mother cow to mother cow, then everything will be named after her. We will transfer the monasteries to their names and will become their servants. Will be very happy, will bless you wholeheartedly.”

On the condition of Hindus in Bangladesh and the politics of Hindutva.

Shankaracharya said, “A delegation will soon go to Bangladesh to know the real conditions of Hindus in Bangladesh.” On politics, he said, “An oath of secularism is taken by the Constitution but after coming out it is said that we are a party of Hindus. No one said on the affidavit that we are a party of Hindus. The party has a dual character. At present no party is a party of Hindus.”
