On the day of Maha Ashtami of Shardiya Navratri, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reached Mata Sheetala Temple located at Agam Well in Patna. There he offered prayers in the temple and prayed for the peace and happiness of Bihar. Tight security arrangements were made even before the Chief Minister reached the temple. Entry of common people into the temple was banned since morning. Let us tell you that today is the day of Mahashtami of Shardiya Navratri. Every year on the day of Maha Ashtami, a huge crowd of devotees join the Shitala temple located at Agam Kuan from early morning. The temple was decorated grandly with this in mind.

As soon as he reached there, the priests and management committee members of the temple gave a grand welcome to the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister was honored by giving him body clothes, a chunri and a photo frame related to the temple. Due to the arrival of the Chief Minister and keeping in mind the security arrangements, the devotees were stopped from worshiping for some time.

Bihar Government Minister Vijay Chaudhary was present on this occasion. After offering prayers for about 10 minutes, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar left for Patna. Meanwhile, the devotees present there greeted the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister also greeted all the devotees who came for worship with folded hands. Let us tell you that on the day of Maha Ashtami of Shardiya Navratri, Agam Kuan Shitala Temple was decorated grandly. The entire temple complex was filled with the fragrance of marigold flowers decorated in the temple.
