- After Kanya Puja, never give black clothes or black handkerchiefs etc. to girls. You can gift red colored chunari or red clothes instead.
Avoid these mistakes also
- Instead of feeding the girls directly after coming home, first wash their feet, apply tilak and then make them sit on the seat.
- Instead of feeding things containing garlic and onion in the food of girls, feed them only halwa, puri, gram and coconut. Feed small girls as much as they can eat with respect.
- Do not bid farewell to girls without touching their feet, this angers Mother Durga.
- Do not clean the house immediately after bidding farewell to the girls.
