Now Sonakshi Sinha told in an interview to Galatta India that what was her father Shatrughan’s reaction when she first told him about her wedding plans.
Sonakshi said, ‘At first I was very scared to tell him. So Sonakshi told Zaheer to go and tell him. But then she gathered courage and talked to her father about this.’
Sonakshi said, ‘I was a little nervous so I went to him and sat next to him. I knew that my father likes to joke so I tried with that. That’s why I had a different approach. I sat with confidence and asked- are you not worried, your daughter is not getting married? Don’t you care? So to this he said- of course, I keep asking mummy. Why what happened? So to this I said- I want to get married. So Shatrughan said- well then I will find it. Then I said- no I have found it.’
‘On this he asked- well who is it? Then I told him about Zaheer that we both have been together for a long time. He keeps me very happy. He is my best friend. So I had a lovely conversation with my father. I thought it would be difficult, but it was very easy. After the whole conversation, my father said- you both are adults, you love each other, so what can Qazi do if the husband and wife agree? Do it. It was that easy. Now we did not want anything else.’
