The Palghar court has made a big comment regarding jailed actor Sheejan Khan for abetting actress Tunisha Sharma to commit suicide. The court has said that Sheejan did not cooperate during custodial interrogation and deleted some messages from WhatsApp and if she is released, she is in a position to threaten important witnesses.
Sheejan’s bail application was rejected
The details of the Vasai court’s January 13 order, which rejected Khan’s bail application, were made available on Thursday. The order states, “It appears that something happened between them in the make-up room of the applicant just before the alleged incident which compelled her to commit suicide.”
Additional Sessions Judge RD Deshpande said in his order, “As per the prosecution, the applicant (Khan) did not cooperate during the custodial interrogation. He did not tell anything about the conversation between 2 pm and 2.45 pm with the actress who lost her life, which is the root cause of Tunisha’s suicide.
Deleting messages is a matter of concern – Court
The court said that the investigation is on and it is a matter of concern for the prosecution that Khan has deleted chats and messages related to Tunisha and his friends on WhatsApp. According to the court’s order, Tunisha followed Khan till the main gate of the studio (where the shooting was taking place) at 2:45 pm and then returned and hanged herself in the make-up room.
Sharma was found hanging in a room on the sets of a television serial on December 24 and Khan was arrested the next day on charges of abetment to suicide. Khan is currently in judicial custody. The actor has pleaded for bail in the court.
