The ASI team can reach Sambhal on Friday for carbon dating of the temple and well of Khaggu Sarai. DM Dr. Rajendra Pansia had written a letter to ASI to investigate the antiquity of the temple and the well.

This temple was discovered during the removal of encroachment operation after the violence on 14 December. EO Municipality Manibhushan Tiwari said that the antiquity of the temple and the well could be around 200 years or more. Carbon dating is being done to confirm this.
